WOMEN IN BLACK AGAINST WAR – MADRID
We declare the need and urgency for a culture of nonviolence based on the full exercise of the values of equality, liberty, pluralism, interdependence, shared responsibility, and, of course, Human Rights.

AND WE DECLARE THAT:
Gender violence affects us all, male and female, and for that reason, as feminist and anti-militarist women, we call on everyone to construct another way of seeing the world.

TO THE END THAT VIOLENCE MAY NO LONGER SEEM FAMILIAR TO US!!

25 November INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ELIMINATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

We declare the urgency and need for a new culture of nonviolence based on the full exercise of the values of equality, liberty, pluralism, interdependence, shared responsibility and, of course, Human Rights.

We insist that the peaceful resolution of conflicts is the alternative to draw and end to confrontations and contradictions, building consensus in all the institutions of society, starting in the home, where patriarchal power of domination and control over the body of woman, even to the point of assassination, must be broken.

Gender violence affects us all, male and female, and for that reason, as feminist and anti-militarist women, we call on everyone to construct a new way of seeing the world.

Let us work to construct new ways of relating to one another where reason reigns, along with affect, dialogue and mediation to reach the wellbeing of the human species, peace with social justice and the creation of a society in solidarity and civilized, that knows how to resolve its conflicts through the use of intelligence and not brute force.

We recognize advances made to date in the matter of protection and promotion through the Ley Integral (Integral Law) against gender violence and we ask that other measures be added proactively -- economic, social and educational measures for prevention.

TO THE END THAT VIOLENCE MAY NO LONGER SEEM FAMILIAR TO US!!
