In 2025, up until November 5th, 36 women have been murdered by their partners or ex-partners. Since 2003, 1293 women have died as a result of gender-based violence. If all of these deaths had been due to other circumstances, a national emergency would likely have been declared, or all possible resources would have been mobilized to tackle the problem.
